The day in the life of a two year old

Won the first game. Didn't stay for the second. Stopped to see Royce and Ila Mae on the way home. Talked to Grandma Karen and Grandpa Allen quick before bed. Finally to bed after 10:00! Great day! Love you, Murph!
Chowing down her second hotdog
Showered and heading to dq baseball
Back in the pool.
Murphy finally up. Now what's for supper?
Murphy and Riley still sleeping. Rob and I watching the news about Michael Jackson. Whoa....can't believe that one. Well, actually I can. Farrah Fawcett, too. I guess I'll remember their dates of death. Newsletter written. Got some color. I forget...I don't have that year round tan that Murphy does. Not burned but a little pink.
Naptime for Murphy, Riley, and Rob...newsletter writing time for me.
Eating watermelon...her favorite!
Daddy home. We are running through the sprinkler and enjoying the hot weather. Well Murphy, Riley, and I enjoy the heat. Rob not as much.
Playing with sidewalk chalk, swimming, bubble lawn mower. Supposed to be writing newsletter article but don't want to!
Filled up the pool. Little cold yet but neither she nor the dog cares.
Murphy just woke up. Rob is on his way home from the chiropractor in hartford. Murph and i are going to get a doughnut.
Happy 2nd birthday Murphy!

Pretending can only go so far.

This is not an update but I have to post because it's funny. Murphy is really, and I mean REALLY, into pretending right now. She has a kitchen and she brings us tacos, meat, cheese, and drinks all the time. (And yes, I do eat the meat.) She loves to play with her babies. She puts them in the swing, carries them around in the car seat, feeds them, burps them, pushes them in the stroller with her purse on her arm and her diaper bag attached to the stroller, changes their diaper and wipes their butts. Here is where we are running into a problem. Yesterday I was working out to my Wii Active. She does some of the exercises with me (squats and lunges and the resistance bands). As I was working out she found the baby wipes. She loves baby wipes, too. She wiped her face, Riley's face, and was then running around with the wipe. The next thing I know, she is wiping the back of my shorts with the wipe saying "butt, butt". As I'm exercising. Now seriously...do we need to go there?

Just trying to see if I can post from my phone. I can't believe how long it's been since I posted!

You're all entitled to slap me.

Four months? Really? Has it been that long? This winter has flown by. And I'm going to make you wait a little bit longer. I'm not going to update you on four months right now but I will start working on the post. It might take me a while to write. Be back soon.

Happy Spring! (I think it's finally here now!)

December, January, and some February pictures

Second place!

She thought she deserved to be up there, too.

My great-nephew, Gavin. Am I old enough to be a great aunt?

Oops...my leg doesn't fit in a doll stroller.

The next prodigy!

Grandpa and Murphy playing the piano.

She looked really cute in this outfit but she wouldn't smile nice unless she was sitting. So you don't get the full effect of how cute she is!

We were at my aunt's house and the dogs were in their kennels. She must have been lonely.

Daddy and Murphy watching the Chargers in the playoffs.

Helping the team roll up the mat.

Hello? Is anyone there?

When are we leaving?

As long as we can keep the blocks away from Riley, she can build them pretty high.

Her favorite spot to sit and watch TV.

Doesn't every dog want to be covered up while they eat their treat?

Giving the baby a ride.

Learning how to be a stunt rider.

Who put that moo in my stroller? Don't you know I can't touch the stroller with the moo in there? Somebody get it out!

Don't I look comfy?

I'm sure I can fit in this box.

I used to have one like this!

Giving Gavin a kiss on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve 2008.

Hanging on for dear life.

Hello? Santa? Thanks for the baby!

Stranger! Stranger!

Reading a magazine in my booster seat in the middle of the living room. And just in case I fall out, the straps are buckled around me.

There is a reason I couldn't put presents under the tree. Make that two reasons.

I fit perfectly!

Taking all the towels out of the drawer is hard work. I need a nap.

Learning early.

Playing cards with Grandma.

Do you like my new hat?

Getting ready for my first sled ride!

Am I cute or what?

Keely (and your dad who probably put you up to that)

The Steelers may be winning at half time, but will you be cheering at the end of the game when the Chargers have won? :)
