It's a Girl!

This is going to be in bullets because I have too many facts to write them into a nice sentence!

* We found out yesterday at 3:30
* She was born June 25, 2007
* She was five pounds three ounces at birth, 18 inches long
* She is now eight pounds 14 ounces, 21 inches long
* I am QUITE biased but she really is very pretty

Her birth mother named her Maria Jose. We are going to keep Maria and name her Murphy Maria Elizabeth. Our social worker was in Bogota this past week and was able to hold her and take pictures so as soon as I have them I'll post them.

Rob and I are ecstatic. It hit us out of the blue and the rest of the day was a blur. I have to play at church today so I'll post more about the day when I get home.

Congratulations Rob & Dana! I had read on the LSS Web site that two more referrals were expected -- one must have been you guys! Now you'll be down there with the Springmans and Baby Marco, too! South Dakota takes over Colombia! I guess your referral is good news for everyone in that it gives us the light of hope that things really are moving again. We'll continue to follow your journey as we hope to be doing the same someday soon, too! Enjoy these blurry days! Sara & Eric (www.ericsara.wordpress.com)

Rob, Dana, and Murphy,
We couldn't be happier! We know that everything happens for a reason and this wait has been worth it to get Murphy. We saw a picture yesterday and Murphy, you are beautiful! You are going to 2 of the most caring and wonderful people on this earth. We are so happy and grateful that it won't be long now before we actually get to hold you in our arms. You will be joining so many people that have so much love to give you, and can't wait to spoil you. There will never be anything in your life time that you will ever have to go through alone, because of the the loving and caring family that you are joining. We have so much to look forward to and you should be home with us before your first Christmas. God bless you, and we love you.
Love grandma and grandpa Lewis.

What a great end to the summer. I'm soooo looking foward to reading/watching your trip.

So much shopping, so little time.
